Happy Summer Solstice! The Essex / Charlotte ferry is back in full operation. Essex, NY is getting ready for the 4th of July celebrations. Lots of activity as folks come back for summer fun on Lake Champlain!

Cupola House has limited availability for July and August. Please check my calendar which is up to date.

On Main Street the Pink Pig Cafe and Gallery and Essex Ice Cream Cafe are open as well as the AAA Art Gallery / Book Shop, the Neighborhood Nest and the Essex Inn Restaurant. The Old Dock will open June 24th.

Here’s a brief description of my rental apartments:

I have two apartments of approx 600 sq feet in size with full kitchens. Both have expansive views of Lake Champlain and Vermont’s green Mountains. The North Apartment has 1 bedroom. The South Apartment has 2 bedrooms. The rate is the same for each apartment. The North Apt has a queen bed and a single bed in a large bedroom. The South Apt has a queen bed in each bedroom. Both have full kitchens, open design living / dining rooms and 1 bathroom each.

Note: Only reservations are entered on the calendar. If there is no “N Apt - Booked” or “S Apt-Booked” on a certain date or dates that means it is available.

** 2 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY is still in effect for 2026

  • Vacation rental = 6 nights or more, multiple weeks and monthly rentals (up to 30+ days) are now subject to NY State Sales tax at 8%. Essex Co Occupancy tax (5%) is also applied. A cleaning/damage deposit is due for ALL new guests’ vacation rentals.

  • Weekend and Mid-week reservations = 2, 3, 4 & 5 nights.

  • Solo vacationers - get a rate discount .‍ ‍

  • Couples/friends - 2 adults @ $ 245 PER NIGHT - 2 night minimum

  • Small group / family - 4 occupants max per apt - more than 2 occupants per apt are subject to an additional $30 per person per night;

  • Larger groups are encouraged to rent both apartments.

  • Additional occupants (more than original lodging agreement) will be subject to additional charges.

Our apartments are perfect for singles, couples and small families with older children.

** All visitors who are not registered guests and all gatherings which include non-guests MUST have prior approval.

** Pets are not permitted in the apartments or on the property left in vehicles without prior approval from owner ( Donna ).

** There is an age restriction for children due to insurance requirements relative to the 2nd floor porch. Infants, who are not yet mobile are permitted as are well-behaved children over the age of 10. All children regardless of age must be supervised on the porch at all times.
