Directions to our Lake Champlain Vacation Rentals

From Points North in New York State:

• Take I-87 South to Exit 33 ( "Essex Ferry, Willsboro")
• Follow Rt. 22 South through Willsboro to Essex - approx. 15 miles. 
• Pass ferry dock on left. 
• Go STRAIGHT at blinking traffic light - (DO NOT TURN RIGHT) for about 3 blocks to grey, wooden house with large, front porch on left. 
• "Lodging" sign over step, "CUPOLA HOUSE" sign on end porch post. 
• Park in front to check in only.  Then move car to lot behind house.

From Points South in New York State:

• Take I-87 North to Exit 31 ( Essex Ferry, Westport) Turn right towards Westport.
• Across from gas station make an immediate left towards the Hilltop Motel on Rt. 59 - follow Ferry sign.
• At end of Rt. 59 turn right on to Rt. 8. 
• Go down a short hill to stop sign and continue straight on Rt. 22 North - follow Ferry sign. 
• In about 9 miles you will go down a hill to a blinking traffic light at Essex Town Hall. 
• Turn Right onto Main St. or County Rt. 80 south. 
• Go 2 1/2 blocks to grey, wooden house with large front porch on left. 
• "Lodging" sign over step, "CUPOLA HOUSE" sign on end porch post.
• Park in front to check in only.  Then move car to lot behind house.

From Vermont & Points East:

• Take US Rt. 7 - which runs North / South along Lake Champlain, to Charlotte, VT.
• Take Rt. F-5 at Charlotte 3 miles west to Essex / Charlotte Ferry.
• (Follow signs for "Ferry to New York")
• Ferry runs every 1/2 hour in spring/summer - every hour during off season.

** CHECK FERRY SCHEDULE - www.ferries.com or call 802 864-9804. Crossing takes 20 minutes. Once in NY State turn left from ferry dock onto Main St. Go straight through blinking traffic light for 3 blocks to grey, wooden house w. large front porch on left. Look for "Lodging" and "Cupola House" signs on porch. Park in front to check in then move car to lot behind house.

NOTE: If you are traveling from points east and will be arriving late after the ferry closes for the night, you may want to cross Lake Champlain at the Crown Point "Bridge to NY State". In which case, after crossing just follow Rt. 9N / 22 north approx. 30 miles to Essex & turn right at blinking traffic sign onto south Main St. Go 2 1/2 blocks to Cupola House on left.

ALWAYS PARK AT FRONT DOOR ONLY TO CHECK IN AND UNLOAD OR LOAD BAGGAGE THEN MOVE CAR TO LOT BEHIND HOUSE.
