N. Apartment bedroom

One Bedroom North Apartment - queen bed & single day bed in bedroom, double mission oak futon/couch in living room. 
Two Bedroom South Apartment - queen bed in each bedroom. Apartments have living/dining areas, full kitchens, private bath and/or shower, lakeside covered porches located on 2nd floor of the main house.
'1813 Cottage' - Two bedrooms & full bath on 2nd floor. Kitchen, dining room, living/sunroom w. deck on first floor & half bath. Cottage photos available by request via email.

Amenities: Linens provided, toiletries provided, housekeeping, iron and ironing board, beach towels, laundry service for minimal charge, cooking utensils provided, condiments provided, and large two-story porch with lake view.

Complimentary use of canoes, kayaks, and bikes. Apartments have air conditioning and cable tv

Cottage Rates: $1095 per week -double occupancy. Call for other cottage rates

Apartment Rates:         
Rates subject to change without notice. Based on double occupancy. Additional occupants over age 10 add $10 per occupant per night.

Minimum Stay: 2 nights on weekends - June 15th through September 15th. Deposit and Payments: 50% deposit required to hold.  Visa, Mastercard and personal checks accepted.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation notice must be received at least 10 days prior to scheduled date of arrival for refund, less a minimum $25.00 processing fee. If less than 10 days' notice is given, the deposit will be forfeited unless the room is re-rented.

Restrictions:Pets permitted with restrictions for an additional charge of $30.00 per stay. No smoking in any of the buildings, permissible on porch but must use ashtray (no cigarette butts on grounds). Because of the two-story balcony, well-behaved children must be supervised.

Breakfast: Brew up some French roast coffee or delicious chai tea - stocked in your kitchen - a nice continental breakfast basket of fruit juice, bagels or muffins will be placed by request in your refrigerator. Enjoy a leasurely, private breakfast while "lake watching" on your porch or in your dining room. (breakfast baskets are provided for short term guests only)

Recommended Favorite Recipes: Switchel, ... Upstate Pumpkin Soup, ... Upstate Meat & Fruit Stew, ... Upstate 3-Bean Salad, and Good Cucumbers

Internet Service: A high speed computer is located in the 1st floor "common room". Wireless service is available by request for using your laptop in your apartment.

Languages Spoken: French and English.

Special Events on Property: Art workshops and outdoor excursions.

Local Best Kept Secrets:  Essex is on the National Registry of Historic Places: low key, non-tourist atmosphere - kid's love the Essex Ice Cream Shop.  Fishing is fantastic off the town dock!
